Altare pole glass vase

Altare glass pole vase from the late 19th century. White blown vase with a square base, the first part was sketched in a mold then pulled freehand. Also called square vase, it was used in churches. coming from the ancient glass factory of Altare, SV, Italy. It measures approx 21” tall x 4” at the widest point at the mouth x 7” at the foot. The foot of this piece is asymmetrical so each toe is a bit different. 
Guys, here’s a Valentine’s Day idea. Instead of buying a dozen roses at the grocery store with the cheap grocery store glass vase buy a nice vase now, like this one. You can still fill with some grocery store roses. But the vase is something that she can keep and treasure forever.
